Wigan Athletic left-back Maynor Figueroa is reportedly a target for Liverpool FC.

New Reds boss Roy Hodgson is keen on the Honduran and is apparently looking to offload Emiliano Insua for £5 million to fund the deal.

It seems Italian club Fiorentina are hoping to take Insua to Seria A which will pave the way for a move for Figueroa.

Insua fell out of favour at Liverpool towards the end of last season but the Florence club are believed to be prepared to meet the Reds' asking price.
