Reports out of Russia are that Liverpool and Tottenham are in talks about the possible transfer of Roman Pavlyuchenko in January, report FootyLatest.com.
Liverpool are trying to do a load deal but Tottenham are insisting on a permanent transfer and are prepared to sell at lower than valuation if necessary.
Pavlyuchenko's agent has been touting the Russian all round Europe and now he is telling the Russian media that his man could be joining Liverpool.
It would actually make sense for both clubs this deal but Pavlyuchenko agent Oleg Artemov is notorious for starting rumours, one week it is Valencia, then Zenit, then Roma and now Liverpool.
It has also been reported in the English press that Pavlyuchenko is meeting with Redknapp next week to thrash out his future so in theory the latest story is a little bit of a contradiction.
But the Liverpool link is not new, in fact it has been around for a few weeks now and so it would not be the biggest surprise to see Pavlyuchenko in a red shirt come January.
