Swansea look set to beat Liverpool to the signing of Tom Ince after confirming they are in negotiations with Blackpool for the winger.
Ince is considered one of the best players in the lower leagues, having scored a flood of goals for the Tangerines in recent seasons.
Former club Liverpool have twice made approaches to sign him, while Ince rejected the chance to join Cardiff City last summer.
However, he now looks likely to move to Wales, after Swansea confirmed they are closing in the player, who has rejected a new contract offer at Blackpool.
'Tom Ince is a talented player and he is someone we are looking at,' said Swansea chairman Huw Jenkins.
'We made an approach in the summer and have done again for this window. If and when there is a possibility for him to leave, then we would be interested.'
It's claimed that Swansea are offering £5million for the 21-year-old, while Liverpool are considering their options.
