Liverpool have been given a boost in the hunt for Ashley Cole after he revealed he won't be staying at Chelsea next season.
Cole, whose contract at Stamford Bridge expires this summer, is a target for the Reds and a host of other European sides.
He has been refusing to listen to other offers before holding negotiations with Chelsea over an extension, but reports on Monday claimed that he'd rejected a new deal with the Blues.
And then at around midnight, he tweeted to confirmed he probably won't be playing for Chelsea ever again.
Liverpool will apparently offer Cole a two-year contract to move to Anfield this summer, with Brendan Rodgers desperately seeking a solution to his left-back troubles.
It's thought that Cole would prefer to stay in English football if any new club could match the salary he currently receives at Chelsea.
