Liverpool are closing in on the signing of Mohamed Salah after entering advanced negotiations with FC Basel over a deal.
The Reds have held tentative talks with Basel in recent weeks as they try and thrash out an agreement to sign the 21-year-old.
They have so far proved fruitless though, with the two clubs apart in their valuation of Salah, who is rated at about £12million.
However, after further negotiations in recent days, reports in Switzerland suggest Liverpool are now in hourly contact over a deal, and a compromise on price is close.
It's claimed that Liverpool are happy to pay £10million for Salah, and if a payment structure can be agreed, they will get the green light to bring in the winger.
Chelsea and Atletico Madrid are also keen on Salah, but his preference is to move to Anfield, where Brendan Rodgers is a huge fan of his talent.
