Liverpool have expressed an interest in Valencia midfielder Daniel Parejo.
The 25-year-old had a loan spell at Queens Park Rangers in 2008 but has put himself on the map this season at Valencia with some notable performances and goals - including one against former club Real Madrid in their recent 2-2 draw at the Bernabeu.
Everton, Arsenal and Fulham have all watched him and enquiries were made about taking him on loan earlier this season, However, Liverpool have monitored him too and are considering a permanent deal.
His buy-out clause is £20m but there are reservations whether he is worth that sort of financial lay-out and whether he is physically ready for the Premier League.
Liverpool are keen on goalkeeper Michel Vorm at Swansea, left-back Alberto Moreno at Sevilla, centre-back Steven Caulker at Cardiff and have opened the bidding for Adam Lallana at Southampton. The latter though may cost closer to £30m rather than Liverpool's £20m valuation.
