If reports are to be believed, the Reds tried to bring the winger to the club on loan earlier on in this campaign, however they could now sign the Spanish ace on a permanent basis in the up coming market.

However, Brendan Rodgers' side may have to battle Italian giants AC Milan for the player's signature.

Milan have also been heavily linked with a move for the star and could make a move for him this summer.

Barcelona appear ready to let Tello leave the club for £8 million, and it remains to be seen as to whether the likes of Liverpool and Milan step up their interest in the youngster in the near future.

For now though, Liverpool's immediate focus will turn to their Premier League title challenge as they prepare to take on Chelsea at Anfield this weekend.
