Express: Reds agree fee for star

Liverpool appear to have taken a significant step in their bid to land Basel winger Mohamed Salah after 'agreeing' a £10 million fee.

The Reds have been heavily linked with the 21-year-old rising star since the turn of the year, although they seemed to be willing to offer closer to £7m.

The Salah saga took an unexpected twist earlier this week when it emerged that Newcastle were willing to enter the chase for his signature.

But now it seems Liverpool are in pole position to clinch a deal.
