Alexander Doni could still join Liverpool, according to the Roma goalkeeper's agent.
Doni's proposed move to Liverpool appeared to be off after the player and club reportedly failed to agree personal terms, with the Brazilian claiming the Reds asked him to take a 60 per cent pay cut.
However, the shot-stopper's representative, Ovidio Colucci, has claimed that discussions over personal terms are ongoing, and that a conclusion could be reached within the next seven days.
"Talks for the Liverpool option are still going," insisted agent Colucci late Friday night.
"In the middle of next week we'll know more, after I've met the Roma directors."
Doni, 31, joined Roma from Juventude in 2005 and has since featured for the Serie A club on over 150 occasions.
