Lassana Diarra has admitted that if he leaves Real Madrid then it will be to return to the Premier League.
The French international has confirmed to skysports.com that should he depart the Spanish capital, then he would indeed look to move back to England.
Diarra previously played for Arsenal, Chelsea and Portsmouth before he moved to Madrid in 2009.
Reports from Spain now suggest that Real would be willing to let Diarra leave as he does not figure in Jose Mourinho's plans.
The likes of Manchester United, Tottenham and Liverpool have all been linked with a possible move for the 26-year-old.
"If I have to leave Madrid then it is only for the Premier League," he told skysports.com.
"I loved my time there, specially my last year [at Portsmouth] before Madrid, as I won the FA Cup.
"But I am at Real Madrid, the greatest club in the world."
