Liverpool are reported to have joined Arsenal in the race to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata.
Morata is reported to be available on loan for the remainder of the season if a club is willing to pay Real £1.7million for his services, and the Gunners have been heavily linked for some time.
Arsene Wenger played down talk regards a move over the weekend and that could open the door for Liverpool to swoop as Brendan Rodgers looks to strengthen his squad.
Rodgers is keen to land another striker while Daniel Sturridge remains on the sidelines through injury and reports claim he is pondering a move for Morata, who has slipped down the pecking order at the Bernabeu.
