Miller was a goalscoring machine in his only season at Liverpool, scoring 27 goals in 28 games.

Later this season Miller wrote his name in the club's early history by netting five goals in a 7-0 win v Fleetwood Rangers on December 3, a feat only four players at Liverpool have repeated; Andy McGuigan in 1902, John Evans in 1954, Ian Rush in 1983 and Robbie Fowler in 1993.
