Liverpool's miserable UEFA Champions League campaign ended with defeat after Fiorentina came from behind to beat the Reds 2-1 at Anfield.
Rafa Benitez's side took the lead two minutes before the interval when Yossi Benayoun nodded home unmarked at the near post from a Steven Gerrard free-kick from the right.
But the Italians levelled on 63 minutes when Martin Jorgensen slotted home in the box after being fed the ball by Alberto Gilardino.
Gilardino then won it deep into injury time when scoring from a Juan Manuel Vargas cross to keep the Italians top of Group E.
