Former Liverpool FC star David Fairclough is mourning the sudden death of his wife.
Jan Fairclough died on Saturday after collapsing on Wednesday morning, it was announced by the club.
She had suffered a brain aneurysm.
Her daughter Sophie, who last year won the Grand National Aintree style award and recently modelled for the ECHO's race style fashion shoot, also works for Liverpool FC.
A statement on the club's website said: "Jan was not only a beautiful woman, she was a great mother and supporter of Liverpool FC and the Club's TV channel, LFC TV, where her husband and daughter both work."
Marina Dalglish also paid tribute to mum-of-two Mrs Fairclough.
On the website Twitter she wrote: "We are all absolutely devastated at news of Jan's death.
"A true friend and we will miss her a lot.
"Thinking of Tom, Sophie and David."
Ian Ayre, Liverpool FC Managing Director, added: "Everyone at the Club who knew David and Jan are devastated by this news.
"David and Jan were inseparable and our thoughts are with David and his children Sophie and Tom and their extended family."
Scores of fans used forums online to send good wishes to the family.
LFC supporter Xerography said: "It's time like these when our ex-players and fans can really appreciate the beauty of our anthem and motto.
"I'm sure all of our ex-players know that no matter what sadness or tragedy affects them in their lives, they will never walk alone."
Supporters website Anfield Road reported: "With David a former team-mate of Kenny Dalglish and Sammy Lee it goes without saying that the loss of Jan will be felt throughout the club."
And added: "Her son Tom is also a student and is now coming to the end of the final year of his degree.
"He was once a member of Everton's youth academy but understandably remained a staunch Liverpool supporter."
