Inter Milan are lining up a summer raid on Rubin Kazan for Liverpool and Everton target Yann M'Vila.
Both Merseyside clubs have been credited with an interest in the tough-tackling France midfielder, who joined Rubin in January 2013.
The 23-year-old's future looks uncertain under Rinat Bilyaletdinov, who took over in January and has barely played him since his arrival.
England had looked his most likely destination, with Liverpool and Everton both keen while Arsenal and Tottenham have also watched M'Vila in the past.
But now Inter have emerged as serious contenders to sign him, according to reports in Italy.
The San Siro giants were hoping to seal a move for Wolfsburg's Luiz Gustavo, but after being priced out of that race, they have turned their attention to M'Vila.
