Liverpool target Javier Pastore has dismissed the prospect of a January move away from Paris Saint-Germain despite admitting that he has a close relationship with Roma's sporting director.
The 24-year-old has had a tough time in the French capital this season, managing only seven league starts, but he played a starring role in PSG's 3-1 French Cup win over Bordeaux on Tuesday, grabbing a goal and an assist to propel his side to victory.
Brendan Rodgers has been linked with the Argentina international as he looks to strengthen Liverpool's push for a top-four finish.
Roma have also been tipped to sign the playmaker, but Pastore says he will not be heading to Serie A side despite his friendship with the club's sporting director Walter Sabatini, who he knows from his time at former club Palermo.
He told the French press: "My place is here. I have a relationship with Roma's sporting director [Walter Sabatini], but that does not mean I will leave during the winter market.
"I will do everything I can play to play more and secure my place in the team."
