Chelsea and Liverpool target Jorginho is closing in on a move to Napoli, according to reports in Italy.

The Verona star has enjoyed a superb first-half of the Serie A season and has been linked with a move this month.

The Premier League giants have both been credited with an interest, while Roma were also said to be in the running for the Brazilian.

But Il Mattino claim Napoli have already won the race, having agreed to pay £6.24m up front, with a further £2.08m to be paid dependent on how much success Jorginho enjoys in Naples.

The paper reports talks were conducted when the two sides played each other on Sunday - Napoli winning 3-0 - and will be concluded on Monday.
