Liverpool are willing to meet Dani Parejo's £20.4m release clause fee to bring him to Anfield this summer, according to Spanish newspaper Superdeporte.
talkSPORT told you of the Reds' interest in Parejo earlier this season - they have had him scouted extensively this year - and it appears as though they will soon step up their interest in the Spaniard.
Brendan Rodgers is preparing for Champions League football next season after guiding his side to second in the Premier League and believes Parejo would be the ideal addition to his midfield.
However, the former Real Madrid is an integral first-team player at Valencia and they are unwilling to entertain any offers below the value of his release clause fee.
The 25-year-old is coming toward the end of the best season of his career - he scored against Real Madrid and Barcelona - and has also attracted attention from Atletico Madrid.
But Liverpool are keen to tie up a deal soon and could make a formal offer in the coming weeks to ensure he ends up at Anfield.
