Napoli want to sign Manchester United and Liverpool target Ricky van Wolfswinkel.
The Serie A side are about to sell Ezequiel Lavezzi to PSG and while van Wolfswinkel would not be considered a direct replacement as he is a centre-forward, Napoli are keen on adding him to negate the loss of Lavezzi.
His position is primarily a striker but Napoli are aware of his ability to adapt to play in as an attacking midfielder - and they are considering a move.
Sporting Lisbon striker van Wolfswinkel scored 20 goals in 28 appearances in all competitions this season and his performances have alerted clubs in England.
Manchester United and Liverpool have both made checks on the Dutchman, who has a contract at Sporting until 2016.
The Portuguese club signed van Wolfswinkel last summer but face a fight to hold on to him after just one season, with Napoli in the market for attacking talent following the loss of Lavezzi.
