Bayern Munich will make one-time Liverpool target Diego Contento available for transfer this summer, according to Bild.

The 23-year-old, who was the subject of an approach from the Reds last summer, has barely featured in Pep Guardiola's first-team plans this season, managing only six league starts.

Despite having two years left on his contract at his hometown club, Contento could now be available for a cut-price fee at the end of the campaign.

Should Liverpool reprise their interest in the German they will face competition from Bundesliga side Hertha Berlin, who are also keen on the left-back.
