Star reveals Reds talks

Blackpool midfielder Charlie Adam has confirmed that the club have held talks with Liverpool, but insists he is set to return to pre-season training with the Seasiders next week

Liverpool are in talks with Blackpool over their star player but a deal has yet to be struck, despite the Reds putting in two previously failed bids.

Speaking to the Blackpool Gazette, Adam confirmed that he has spoken to the chairman about his future.

"I go back to Blackpool on Monday and that's the way it is," he said.

"Everybody knows the situation - the club have met with Liverpool but that's as far as it has gone.

"I had a conversation with the chairman but that will remain private.

"It's important that we keep everything in-house - whatever happens will happen."
