Liverpool target Mateo Kovacic might stay at Inter Milan in the summer after the player's agent claimed that the Nerazzurri have finally realized the Croatian's true value after his excellent display in the draw against Napoli on the weekend.
Liverpool have been linked with the Croatian over the last few months, with manager Brendan Rodgers being a long term admirer of the gifted play maker.
The 19-year-old showed his true potential on the weekend, performing superbly in the heart of the Inter midfield.
The game somehow finished 0-0, despite both sides having glorious chances to win the game, with Kovacic drawing an excellent save from Napoli keeper Pepe Reina, who is actually on loan from Liverpool, in the first half.
The Croatian is adept at playing in the central midfielder role and his passing range with a dynamism well ahead of his teenage years.
Speaking to FcInterNews.it , Nikky Vuksan, Kovacic's agent said: "I will not comment on the provision of Mateo. I'm not a football expert, it would be just an opinion. Which can be the future of the club, Inter tells us since he signed the contract, January 2013.
"You have to talk with them to see if they still think the same thing. Mazzarri has called him to be the future of the club. I am glad you've finally got it. I have no comment to make about his future, as I said he is an Inter player and will remain so until the Nerazzurri have the will to keep it."
