Liverpool are tracking a move for Adam Federici and Sheffield United are looking at Alex Pearce as Reading fight to keep their stars.

The Royals do not want to let their best players leave the club but if either of the two clubs come in with substantial offers for either of the duo they may find it hard to turn those moves down.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez is interested in bringing the 24-year-old Australian stopper to Anfield as back-up to Spain goalkeeper Pepe Reina.

Championship rivals Sheffield United see Pearce as an ideal replacement for United star Matthew Kilgallon who looks set to move to Everton at the end of the season.
