Roy bid for Figueroa - if he can sell

New Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson will move for Wigan's Maynor Figueroa - if he can sell Emiliano Insua for £5million.

Fiorentina are ready to meet Hodgson's asking price for the left-back and that will be spent on direct replacement Figueroa.

The Italian side are ready to gamble on the young South American and the Italian side have been told they can have him for £5m.

That should be enough to tempt Wigan to part with Honduras international Figueroa, who found fame last season with his 60-yard goal against Stoke.
