Liverpool are reportedly interested in signing Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon after reports suggested that the England winger had fallen out with White Hart Lane boss Harry Redknapp.
The speedy wide man may now be made available by the North London side who may need to sell players to help balance the books as they look likely to miss out Champions League football next term.
Kenny Dalglish is looking to add more natural width and has been linked with a number of prospective winger purchases and was previously linked with interest in Aston Villa stars Ashley Young and Stewart Downing, among others.
The Anfield boss may also be willing to offer Joe Cole as a make-weight in any offer for £15m rated 24 year old. Redknapp has reportedly been disappointed with the inconsistent performances from Aaron Lennon and the pint sized wide-man angered his boss with comments he posted on Twitter following his late pulling out of the first leg of Tottenham's Champions League tie with Real Madrid, an incident that the former Leeds United man felt he was being made a scapegoat for the heavy defeat that followed.
Having signed Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll in January the Merseyside club is now looking for more creative attacking weapons to help provide ammunition for their strike-force.
Lennon is just one of many Tottenham players that Redknapp is apparently considering cashing in on and the likes of Robbie Keane, David Bentley, Jamie O'Hara, Peter Crouch and Niko Kranjcar have all been strongly linked with moves away from White Hart Lane this summer.
