It has been revealed today that the Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has made an approach to the Ivory Coast team Stade d’Abidjan for their young striker Angban Bekanty Victorien, who was one of the stars of the recent U17 World Cup.
There were reports in the Ivory Coast that Liverpool had already agreed a transfer fee with Stade d'Abidjan, but the club's president, Abi Koffi Richmond, said that there was no formal agreement as yet but he confirmed that they are interested in the youngster.
He told skysports.com: "Liverpool has not agreed anything with me yet, I have nothing written.
"They are a great club and respected club, I do not need to tell them how to do their work.
"I have contact from them through some agents but they are not the only club interested in the boy."
Dalglish seems to be making lots of enquiries about talented youngsters lately as he is trying to fill the Liverpool academy with stars of the future.
