Liverpool are reportedly planning a £15m raid on Newcastle for their highly-rated full-back Jose Enrique this summer.
The Reds have put the Spaniard at the top of their transfer targets list following an impressive season for the Magpies as they look to plug a problem position.
Former Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez actually tried to sign the player four years ago but he opted instead to snub the advances of the Anfield club and Manchester City in favour of a £6.3m move to the North-East outfit from Villarreal.
