Kenny Dalglish is being linked with a summer move for Stade Brest striker Nolan Roux as he continues his summer rebuilding plan.
The Reds boss is overseeing a major overhaul of the squad at Anfield and Roux is apparently on his radar, following discussions with director of football Damien Comolli who has an extensive knowledge of French football.
The 23-year-old is under contract in France until the summer of 2013 so a fee would be needed for the player, who netted 21 goals in 53 appearances last year.
If Liverpool were to land him then that would almost certainly see them allow fellow French striker David Ngog leave Anfield with Sunderland keen on his services.
