Reds eye move for Barton

Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson is eyeing up Preston starlet Adam Barton, 19.

According to the Daily Mirror, Hodgson is keen to buy British and the Blackburn-born Barton is rated as one of the most exciting prospects outside the Barclays Premier League.

Roy Hodgson is clearly looking to the future, as are new owners NESV who have apparently made it clear that they have a policy to invest in youth which shows a commitment to the future which is of course very laudable.

Barton is by all accounts a player with great potential. The 19 year old is a talented central midfielder who would cost Liverpool around £6m.
