Napoli striker Edinson Cavani will not be heading to Liverpool in January, according to the 23-year-old's agent.
Cavani only moved to Naples from Palermo in the summer for a fee believed to be in the region of £14million but Liverpool were reportedly willing to offer over £20 million to secure his services.
However, his agent, Claudio Anelucci, told tuttomercatoweb: "Edinson is fine in Naples, he is doing well at the club and is getting on very well with everyone.
"We are only in the fourth round of Serie A games, there are no problems and this is not the time for the transfer market.
"Is Napoli seen as a springboard for another move? No, Naples is a destination.
"But if Napoli get any bids then we will decide what to do. But I do not think the club should sell Edinson."
The Uruguay international has scored three goals in five appearances for Napoli so far this season after finding the net 33 times in 109 games for Palermo.
