David Ngog has denied reported interest from Blackburn Rovers and West Bromwich Albion but has not ruled out a loan move.
The France under-21 striker has been linked with switches to the Premier League duo amidst fears that he will not feature in the long-term plans of new manager Roy Hodgson.
Ngog proved to be a surprise inclusion for Liverpool during last season's tumultuous campaign, nettting eight times in 37 appearances, which has alerted both Baggies boss Roberto Di Matteo and Rovers' Sam Allardyce.
Despite the 21-year-old setting his sights on convincing Hodgson that he is worthy of a future at Anfield, he has refused to rule out a loan move as he bids to cement his place in the national side under new Les Bleus manager Laurent Blanc.
He said: "This season is a big season for me.
"I need to be consistent, play more and score more.
"We have a new manager, who is a great manager, so we have to impress him.
"I am not aware of [any loan move] yet, but you never know."
