Liverpool are reportedly in pole position to snap up highly-rated Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu.
Even at just 23 Badu has made more than 40 appearances for Ghana, and could be the man to add depth to the centre of the Reds midfield.
Reports from Sky Italia suggest that despite interest from across Europe, Brendan Rodgers' side have emerged at the front of the queue.
Chievo are also apparently interested in his signature, but a move to Anfield and the Premier League would surely be too tempting to turn down.
With his contract running until the summer of 2016 Udinese are under no pressure to sell, but could be persuaded if the price is right.
