Germany star Marco Reus has told Borussia Dortmund he won't be renewing his contract with the club, in move that will see his likely sale next summer.
Reports in Spanish daily Marca claim that the forward, who is a target for Liverpool and Manchester United, won't extend his stay at Signal Iduna Park and the Westphalia club will be forced to cash in on him at the end of this season.
A clause in his contract would allow him to move for just €25million in June, with Marca claiming that Real Madrid have already agreed a deal in principle to sign the 25-year-old.
The situation is similar to that of his compatriot Toni Kroos, who joined Madrid last summer and shares an agent - Volker Struth - with the Dortmund speedster.
Reus was a prime target for Liverpool this summer as they attempted to replace Luis Suarez with a world-class forward but the German international decided to stay in the Bundesliga.
