Arsenal and Liverpool are set to battle it out for former Chelsea striker Salomon Kalou.
The Premier League giants both expressed an interest in the Lille forward in the January transfer window but were put off by the French club's asking price.
But both Brendan Rodgers and Arsene Wenger remain fans of the 28-year-old, and according to the Daily Star, will make a fresh move this summer.
The Ivory Coast international struggled for goals in his first spell in the Premier League but has blossomed in France and, crucially, would accept the role of being a squad player.
Rodgers is keen to add depth to his squad ahead of his side's Champions League campaign and reckons Kalou fits the bill perfectly, while Wenger wants to add another striker to take the weight off Olivier Giroud's shoulders.
The striker looked tired towards the end of the season and the Gunners boss is keen to ensure the forward is adequately supported next term.
