Liverpool and Tottenham have both had approaches for Germany international Marko Marin rebuffed, according to the midfielder's agent.
The diminutive 22-year-old has been linked with a move away from Werder Bremen this summer following the Bundesliga club's poor campaign.
Both Liverpool and Spurs have apparently already come knocking, but Marin's agent Fali Ramadani has claimed their overtures were quickly rejected by both player and club.
"Marko rejected both teams," Ramadani said.
"Werder hinted also that they would not sell Marko at this time."
Marin has admitted his desire to remain in Germany, where his reputation has already earned him 16 caps for his country, while Werder are understandably keen to keep a hold of one of Europe's most promising young wingers.
"I want to stay at Werder. I feel good at Bremen," Marin said. "I have never had the urge to leave. I want to be successful here, and that is my only aim."
The midfielder, who was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina, admits however that should the club decide to sell him then he would reluctantly leave.
"If the club receives an offer and decides to sell me, that is another situation," he added. "Until then I am happy here."
