Liverpool have made an approach to Stoke for defender Robert Huth.
The Reds are thought to have enquired about the German international earlier this week, but are only willing to pay around £5m.
Stoke are understood to have rebuffed the approach, as they would want closer to £10m before they would consider selling the former Chelsea stopper.
Huth joined the Potters in 2009 from Middlesbrough in a £5m deal. He has made 23 appearances for Tony Pulis' side this season so far.
