Liverpool make a fresh move for Adam

Liverpool are set to make a fresh move for Blackpool's Charlie Adam.

The Gazette understand that the Reds will table a bid of around £10m over the weekend.

Liverpool's Director of Football Damien Comolli is scheduled to hold talks with Karl Oyston and both parties are hopeful a deal can be struck.

Aston Villa, managed by Adam's former Rangers boss Alex McLeish, are also expected to bid and long term admirers Manchester United could yet make a move.

The 25-year-old has one year remaining on his contract at Bloomfield Road.
