Liverpool are facing a fight to sign Charlie Adam after two unnamed Premier League sides entered the race for the Blackpool star.
The Reds are desperare to tie up a deal for the Scottish international and are apparently ready to offer cash plus players to force the move through, including allowing highly-rated midfielder Jonjo Shelvey to move to Bloomfield Road on a season-long loan deal.
But now a source close to the player has told talkSPORTtwo other top-flight clubs are set to enter the bidding war for the Scottish international.
Former Rangers midfielder Adam, 25, had an exceptional debut season in the Premier League, scoring 12 goals, and was the subject of a failed bid by Tottenham in the January transfer window.
Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston has revealed there have been no formal bids for Adam.
