It's a big weekend for both the Red and Blue halves of the city.
And not only can football fans not get enough of seeing their heroes in the flesh, but they are also flocking to snap up tickets to see them celebrated in song.
The Royal Court, currently closed for the first stage of its £10m revamp, is set to reopen its doors and showcase its newly decorated auditorium with a new production penned by Dave Kirby (Brick Up, Lost Soul, Council Depot Blues).
And Reds and Blues - the Musical is apparently proving so popular theatre bosses have already decided to extend its run by two weeks.
Royal Court chief executive Kevin Fearon says: "Dave's shows always do well here and there seems to be a real buzz about this one.
"With the semi-final coming up and both teams fighting it out in the league the timing is perfect."
The musical is based on Dave's 2010 film Reds And Blues, The Ballad Of Dixie And Kenny.
The tale begins when Dixie, a dyed in the wool Blue, arrives to stay at his fanatical Evertonian sister's house which just happens to be next door to a family of rampant Reds headed by Kenny who is planning a European Cup celebration garden party - but Dixie has other ideas.
The musical stars four of the film's actors - Paul Duckworth, Lynne Francis, Lindzi Germain and Andrew Schofield - with Alan Stocks and Francis Tucker.
It's directed by Bob Eaton and Royal Court regular Howard Gray will be in the pit as usual as musical director.
Dave says: "Most Reds and Blues know the film so I was hoping the stage musical version would hit the ground running - but to announce a two week extension already is fantastic news.
"I'll be adding a few lines to the script after the Wembley semi-final so we'll find out tomorrow if it's Dixie or Kenny who'll be taking the mickey this summer."
Reds And Blues - The Musical is at the Royal Court from June 29 to August 11.
