Jay Spearing was excellent against Everton and there's something about him I really like, writes Jan Molby.
It's his attitude and the way he goes about his job.
I think Jay would be the first to admit he's not top drawer on the ball.
But he moves it simply and he is a quick passer.
Other players benefit from that because too often this season the build-up has been too slow.
Jay has found it difficult in a couple of games and at Old Trafford he struggled. But he's improving and I think he's got a long term future at Anfield.
On Tuesday with Spearing in there alongside Steven Gerrard we had a much better balance in midfield. He ensured Gerrard had a licence to get forward.
