Aaron Lennon kept his cool to convert a stoppage-time winner as Tottenham came from behind to beat Liverpool 2-1 at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
Roy Hodgson's Reds played with confidence on Sunday and took the lead on 42 minutes when Raul Meireles' floated free-kick into the 18-yard box fell to the feet of Skrtel - via David Ngog's arm - and he poked the ball home.
Harry Redknapp's hosts started the second half brightly and Gareth Bale's goalbound strike was headed off the line by Meireles before Jermain Defoe dragged a penalty wide of the upright on 59 after Ngog had handled a Bale free-kick in the box.
Tottenham's equaliser came on 65 when Luka Modric powered into the Reds' box and saw his cross diverted into his own net by an unlucky Skrtel.
That set up a grandstand finale in which Defoe had a goal disallowed for offside before Peter Crouch flicked on a long punt from defence in stoppage time, allowing Lennon to outpace Paul Konchesky before keeping his cool to sidefoot a winning goal past Pepe Reina.
