Roy Hodgson is preparing a move for Swiss winger Valentin Stocker.

The 21-year-old Basle star impresserd in the Champions League, and now Liverpool director of football strategy Damien Comolli will try to snap him up quickly to avoid a bidding war with other clubs.

Stocker is the rising star of Swiss football and Basle have slapped a £4.5 million price on his head.
