Fulham boss Roy Hodgson is ready to throw Fabio Aurelio a Premier League lifeline.

Hodgson is planning to move for Brazilian defender Aurelio after his release from Liverpool and sign him on a free transfer.

Aurelio failed to agree a new pay-as-you-play deal at Anfield following an injury-ravaged spell.

And Hodgson is ready to pounce for the 30-year-old former Valencia star and bring him to West London.

The arrival of Aurelio will finally pave the way for left-back Paul Konchesky to complete his move to Birmingham City.
