Newcastle United midfielder Yohan Cabaye has refused to rule out leaving the Magpies at the end of the season, explaining he feels the absence of the Champions League.

Cabaye joined Newcastle from Lille in 2011 and was the subject of a bid from Arsenal this summer, something he tried to force through, seeing his attempt fail however.

More recently Liverpool have been strongly linked with the pass-master, along with Italian giants Roma. And with Cabaye ambitious, it remains to be seen whether Newcastle can satisfy those lofty thoughts.

The France international told RTL: "I lack the Champions League.

"I will be back this season with Newcastle, focused on the coming months.

"After that, we will see."

Cabaye's contract with Newcastle runs until the summer of 2016.He has been a crucial cog in boss Alan Pardew's team this term, making ten appearances in the Premier League, with two goals and three assists to his name.
