Celtic left-back Emilio Izaguirre has revealed he is 'flattered' by interest in him from Liverpool, and hinted that a transfer to England could be possible after admitting he has left the matter in the hands of his agent and his current club.
The Honduran international has also been linked with Liverpool's Premier League rivals Manchester United, Arsenal, and Aston Villa.
However, it appears the Reds are best-placed to conclude a move for the 25-year-old after he picked them out of the list of parties reportedly interested.
"It is flattering for any player of course, when somebody like Liverpool shows an interest in your services," Izaguirre told Central American publication La Tribuna.
"I still do not know anything. I leave this in the hands of my agent and club officials."
Celtic boss Neil Lennon has told the press he does not want to sell Izaguirre this summer.
However, with high-profile clubs now sniffing around the full-back, he appears to be considering a move away from Parkhead.
Nevertheless, Izaguirre has said he does not want to consider his future until he completes his commitments to the Honduran national team.
"I am happy to be back home, it is always good to be back," he said.
"Now my aim is the national team and I am happy to be selected."
