Fulham boss Mark Hughes is ready to end Paul Konchesky's Liverpool nightmare and offer him a return to Craven Cottage.
Hughes has launched a bid to throw former Fulham defender Konchesky a lifeline with a loan move for the remainder of the season.
The 29-year-old has endured a nightmare at Anfield since his £4million move in the summer and is yet to start a game under caretaker boss Kenny Dalglish.
Konchesky's move back to the club where he made 122 appearances will free up rookie defender Matthew Briggs, 19, to join Nottingham Forest on loan.
