Toronto FC goalkeeper Stefan Frei has been granted permission to take in a training spell with Premier League heavyweights Liverpool.
The Reds are always on the lookout for fresh faces and have made a habit of exploring American avenues.
New York Red Bulls striker Juan Agudelo recently spent time at Anfield, with Kenny Dalglish offering him a window of opportunity.
Liverpool have now returned to the MLS for Frei, with Toronto announcing on Sunday that an agreement had been reached.
The 25-year-old shot-stopper will remain in England until 18th December.
"This is a great opportunity for Stefan and we were happy to give him permission to train with a historic club like Liverpool," Toronto manager Aron Winter said in a statement released on the club's official website.
"He has emerged as one of the top keepers in the league since the start of his career and has certainly earned this special opportunity."
Frei has been on Toronto's books since 2009 and made 27 league appearances for the club in 2011 and four starts in the Nutrilite Canadian Championship.
