Liverpool would be interested in signing Joe Hart from Manchester City should the England stopper elect to leave the club.
Reports suggest that Hart is becoming increasingly concerned that he has not been offered a new contract at the Etihad and is considering his options.
David Silva, Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero have all been handed new deals by the Citizens over the last few weeks, but Hart has yet to be approached about extending his time at the club.
The 27-year-old has under two years remaining on his current deal but that is the time which most clubs begin negotiations over a new deal with their biggest stars.
And after being told that he must expect to share first-team duties with Willy Caballero this season, Hart could look for pastures new.
Liverpool are said to be lining up a free transfer for former Barcelona stopper Victor Valdes as soon as the Spaniard can prove his fitness following a knee injury.
