Arsenal and Liverpool are on alert after PSV admitted they would move to sell Belgian starlet Zakaria Bakkali in the summer if he doesn't sign a new contract with the club.
The Dutch club have been trying to convince Bakkali to commit to remaining at PSV ever since the youngster broke into the first team earlier this season, but are now running out of patience.
The player's aunt and uncle - who act as his agents - have been reluctant to commit until they have an opportunity to consider offers from elsewhere, but that situation is untenable to the Eredivisie club.
PSV chief executive Marcel Brands told Voetbal International: "We have offered Bakkali the best renewal possible, now it's up to him.
"We won't run after anyone".
Both Liverpool and Arsenal are known to be monitoring the situation closely while Real Madrid and Roma are also thought to be keen on the 18-year-old.
And reports suggest that the starlet will 'immediately' be placed on the transfer list if he stalls over signing PSV's latest offer.
Earlier this season a PSV source told Dutch media: "Bakkali is a player that Wenger rates highly."Arsenal have kept an eye on him and are aware that other teams want him, so could move in the summer to buy him."
However it seems that Liverpool, Real and Roma are also likely to be involved in the scramble for the player's signature should Bakkali rebuff PSV's contract ultimatum.
