LIVERPOOL manager Brendan Rodgers is lining up a cut-price move for Celta Vigo forward Iago Aspas.
The 25-year-old was on Swansea's radar recently, and was believed along with West Brom's Romelu Lukaku to be at the top of their list as they looked to provide an attacking trident as Michu said he will stay.
Though Rodgers has moved once again to deny Luis Suarez will leave Anfield in the summer, a cut-price move for Aspas could plug a hole while the Uruguayan serves a 10-match ban.
Daniel Sturridge and Philippe Coutinho have provided the Reds with an extra dimension, but Rodgers wants more reinforcements.
A report in a British newspaper ascertains Aspas' release clause currently stands at around £8.5m, but could drop by a third in the event Celta Vigo should be relegated from La Liga.
Aspas has rattled 11 goals in 32 starts this season.
